“Gorgeous, relaxing honeymoon.”

one bedroom
Private and set high above Pine Cove with its own special access trail, Thompson has stunning views that stretch far down a large bay of the French River. It is a honeymooners favourite – a romantic cottage. A kitchen and eating area with large living area opens onto a screened porch with a hammock. A private bedroom with a copper bathtub – enjoy the wonderful views from the tub whilst you soak, has a king bed or twins if you prefer. The BBQ area is at the rear of the cottage in a great setting. Swimming from the main dock with its swim ladder is close by as is the main lodge but the cottage is secluded in its setting. One of our finer cottages. We think David Thompson would have approved.

David Thompson’s native name was Koo-Koo-Sint, “The Stargazer.” Thompson travelled approximately 90,000 kilometres, surveying and mapping northern North America, in the late 1770s and early 1800s. He is described as, “The greatest land geographer that the world has produced.”
