“Gorgeous, relaxing honeymoon.”

Studio KING
Hopkins is the closest cottage to the main lodge, just across the footbridge. It has a large bedroom with king bed – twins if you prefer. The kitchen and eating area has a wonderful view of the water. French doors open from the bedroom, onto a screened porch. A lovely studio cottage that hosts many repeat guests.
Sun rises to the south of this cottage and sets to the north
A brief history
Frances Anne Hopkins was an artist who travelled on the French River from the late 1850s to the 1870s. She was the first woman to have a major art exhibition in Canada. Hopkins captured the last days of voyageur canoe travel and many of her paintings are iconic representations of Canada’s early history.
