“Gorgeous, relaxing honeymoon.”

One bedroom
DG, as we nicknamed this cottage, sits on the shoreline of Pine Cove. Its screened porch sits right above the water. Consisting of a large bedroom with king bed – twins if you prefer and a copper bathtub with beautiful views. A living room adjoins a kitchen and eating area with French doors opening onto the screened porch. A lovely space, quite close to the main lodge via the bridge but private. Another of our finer cottages.

Des Groseilliers (Médard Chouart Sieur des Groseilliers) was a fur trader and explorer. Known, amongst other exploits, as having introduced the English court to the fur trade riches of the Hudson Bay watershed. This led to the charter, that formed the Hudson’s Bay Company on May 2nd, 1670. Des Groseilliers worked for the HBC for several years in the late 1600s.
