Studio KING

Pierre-Esprit Radisson was a French fur trader in the 1600s. In 1652, as a young man he was abducted by the Iroquois who adopted him. Whilst living with the Iroquois he also suffered terrible torture. His knowledge of indigenous peoples in North America would give him a unique opportunity to help found the Hudson’s Bay Company. His brother-in-law and business partner for many years, was Des Groseilliers. Radisson died in London, England in 1710
